Q -Can I return my Purchase

A – We are happy to accept returns, please notify us within 14 days of receipt of your goods if you wish to return your them.  Returns must be made within 14 days of notification. Please return goods well protected in the original packaging and by the same method of receipt ie signed for/insured etc.  Once the item is back with us we will return the purchase price and the outward shipping costs to you.

We do not accept returns for:-

  • Customised goods
  • Perishable goods
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items for hygiene reasons (including earrings which have been taken out of the sealed packet)

If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Q – Can you gift wrap my item for me?

A- Yes, we can wrap the item and pop a card in with it at no extra charge.  We will take a photo of the wrapped parcel and the card and email it to you

Q – I don’t have a PayPal account, how do I pay you?

A – You can still pay with a credit or debit card through PayPal even if you do not have an account

Q – What is the difference between Vintage, Antique and Retro?

A- An item is normally deemed to be an antique when it dates back 100 years or more.  A Vintage item is normally classed as something that is between 20 and 100 years old.  Although there is some debate on the matter, at Vie Nostalgique we only use the term Retro for an item that has taken it’s design inspiration from the past, but in itself is neither vintage or antique.

Q- How long will it take for my parcel to reach me?

A- All of our packages are sent from France via La Poste or Colissimo (with the exception of some parcels to the UK which might be sent via Royal Mail or a courier such as My Hermes).  We normally find that most items arrive within one to two weeks depending on where in the world you are

Q- Can I reserve an item?

A- Yes you can.  Any item can be reserved for a pre agreed length of time after receipt of a 10% non refundable deposit.  Please email us and we will set up a special listing for you

Q- Can I have a discount?

A – We try to price our vintage at reasonable market rates and therefore do not normally offer discounts on one off items.  We may consider it for a repeat customer or for a bulk order, but this is entirely at our descretion

Q – Do I have to pay import duties and taxes?

A- If you live outside of the EU then you may have to pay import duties and taxes.  Every country will have their own limits and you can easily check.  All import.customs duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
